Help with new Bongo!!!!!!!!!!

I know everyone says use the truss rod to adjust the action, but I don't want to adjust the neck action, what I want to do is adjust the string hight at the bridge. My question is what tool can I use to do this I have a set of hex keys, but the smallest one is still too big. Can someone help me with this problem?

1/16 will work just fine

The saddle set screws use a 1/16 allen wrench

The above is for Stingrays and Subs. I think it's the same for Bongos. Perhaps someone from EBMM can confirm?

yep... you'll be able to find some that'll be too small as well, bust most hardware stores should carry some wrenches that'll work.

You're lucky, you can actually buy the correct size Allen keys. Those of us living in 100% metric countries have to make do with "closest" rather than "correct" fit.

Just out of curiosity, why?

It's a common misconception that the vertical adjustment of the saddles is there for the purpose of getting rid of fret buzz through the raising of the string. I believed this for a very long time until I gained an understanding of how the trussrod adjustment and the bridge adjustments relate to one another.

The only reason IMHO to adjust the saddle height away from the factory setting is if you change string gauge, or if you want a very high overall action for some reason.

If you do adjust the saddles, don't forget to check the pickup height as well.
