The more that I look at this the more I like it. It's the coolest looking JP yet, IMO. My only quandary is whether I should get the 6 or 7 string version. If there's a pre-order list, please sign me up.

Did anyone already mention that there is quite some MAXXAS-vibe in the new JP design? I like that a lot!
After seeing this pic I finally realise how accessible the higher frets really are in Majesty. Wow!

A turkey with a very long horn and a pointy bum. It's a great turkey but not everyone will like it.
Exactly. Look at the start and end point of the horns and remember that the Maxxas is 22 frets.

BP and EBMM, thanks for posting the sneak peaks of The Majesty. It was great to watch the forum for updates. I hope this model is a great success for EBMM and enjoyed by all who get to play one. Pictures are great; however, how it feels when you play it will rule all. Cheers from a guy who plays a guitar with a scooped forearm cutout guitar (JP6). ~C

Thank you for continuing to push creativity and design. Thank you for not stopping until you got it right. And not just on the Majesty but on entire EBMM line up. My playing launched forward 10fold when I got my hands on my first musicman guitar. I'm looking forward to seeing this in person and playing it. I'm sure it's as amazing to play as it looks.

Not really a fan.. But when the Armada came out I said the same thing.. No I'm craving one... It's hard to predict on something that barely came out and we haven't even heard.. But I like the way EBMM tries new things..

I immediately noticed a MAXXAS-esque vibe to it. I also see a lot of similarities to the old Gibson M-III/M-IV series as well. The truth is, it's not easy coming up with a shape that's 100% original when you're working with ergonomics as a driving factor in the design. Certain things just work, and it's mainly a matter of refining them and putting a unique twist on it.

This thing is... UGLY? Sure it plays fantastically, it's ebmm after all, but aesthetically it 100% puts me off.

This is the BS we don't need. Guys, if you hang around this site the one thing that comes immediately apparent is that BP and JP, Drew, etc ( and all other EBMM artists, engineers and employees) look at these creations more than just a tool. Its hard work, its compromises and long hours....Im sure BP, Drew, JP and many more involved in this could have just as easily put that time in to other things like their kids, their family, the work pilling up on their desk, etc....
My point is if you don't like it then express it in a respectful way....If someone called my kid ugly I would have a problem....BTW I can guarantee your going to get lit up for your comment....whatever you do please don't be surprised....

You probably should have known that calling it "ugly" would not be received well. You could have just said "the way it looks is not my taste" or "it's not aesthetically pleasing to me" or something....
I'm not one of these guys who is going to sit here and endlessly praise anything that is posted or hail the employees of EBMM as saviors and thank them for being generous enough for giving me the opportunity to buy their merchandise...but why go so far as to say it's "ugly?"

Some of you know that i love cars. Still after all these years there are some new models that come out and i dont like them. I have ended up loving them and in some cases ended up buying one. There are new designs that i initially love that bore me in short order. The majesty was not designed to be disruptive but soon into it we knew it was.

I'm very intrigued by the Majesty, love the design, but am not sure yet whether or not it's for me. Can't really know that until I play it. As you may know, I own around 80 EBMM's (mostly Axis/EVH and Silhouettes). A few weeks ago at the Philly Guitar Show I hung out with Derek and Glen and played an Armada and, while clearly it has amazing design and workmanship, I discovered that the Armada just isn't my cup of tea. Which is totally fine. As long as I approach it with an open mind and understand that what works for some doesn't work for others. I am more of a bolt-on guy, and also the shorter scale doesn't feel right to me.
I'd be curious to see the Majesty's specs, which would help me to get a better feel for whether or not the guitar will work for me. Not sure if they were posted because I can't see the first 15 posts in the "here is the majesty" thread since page 1 redirects to the Introducing the Majesty page on EB.com.
So, if they haven't been posted, can you please provide? I think I saw basswood in one of your posts. Interested in scale length, neck dimensions (and which previous JP neck is this closest to), the Gamechanger specs, will piezo be an option, 7 string too?, what's the carbon fiber thing -- just aesthetic or also functional/sonic, etc. I'm thinking that you had probably posted the specs in the first posts on the "here is the majesty" thread so maybe you can have IT just fix that page so it doesn't redirect elsewhere?
In any case, I think you guys have once again delivered a tool that pushes the envelope and evolves the instrument without being gimmicky. But most importantly, you delivered a tool that helps JP bypass physical limitations that hold back his creativity. And that's something to be proud of. And at the end of the day, really, it's all that matters. Some people complain/whine/flame when you and the team push the envelope. I, for one, will only complain/whine/flame if EBMM goes backwards instead of forward.

I don't think I'd ever confuse any of these designs. As I said before, look at the position of the cutaways and horns relative to the frets and remember the photo of the back of the guitar. Which guitar has the best upper fret access?
Now, with all due respect, can we stop posting photos of other guitars please. a) It is a forum rule, and b) when you have a your next child shall I turn up with photos of other peoples' children? "See, your child is just as ugly as this ugly baby!"
