Whoa, I actually think the stealth black one looks really cool.
Hoshino Gakki, is that you? Look, my friend, I know you guys are still sore over losing the JP contract some years ago, but the uncouth reverse psychology ain't gonna make no difference here, man. We have JP and we're going to keep him and by god BP is gonna do what it takes to piss the world off and make some epic history.

This is just as childish as the reply you quoted. It's a fact that many companies make great instruments and I'm a huge fan of both companies you refer to. No need to diss or call brands out like that.
I've never played anything other than Ebony. Also would like to know what's the differences between the JP13 Mahogany and the Majesty Honduran Mahogany. Is it lighter? And how about tonal features?
I'm just curious to know why have Petrucci chosen ebony, is it just because looks better? I saw a bunch of interviews where he says he prefers rosewood.

IMO, and I know a lot of people seem to desagree with that, I think the sound of the fretboard doesnt affect the tone that much in the context of an album or a live gig, so I'd go for the look. Keep in mind that when you record the guitars are EQ'ed, compressed, plus the mic and the amp and all the other instruments in the mix, mastering, mp3 format, etc... the sound of the fretboard play so a small part. Guitar alone, yeah there might be a difference, but with the context it doesnt matter than much IMO.
