Hey MingusBASS,
Good question !

- I'm sworn to secrecy

The best I can say right now is
- "I've spent some time in 'Old Montreal"
- the women in Quebec are loose & lovely :)

CodeMonkey likes the B2R as well,
- do you know of a particular 1x15 cab that would "delivers the goods without breaking the bank or my back" ???

I've got two 1x15's (Ampeg Classic Series and GK 115BLX-II), as well as a GK 210BLX-II that I keep around.

With the Ampeg SVT-15EN, I'll run the B2R through that alone for small to lower volume level medium-sized gigs.

Other times, I'll pair the two GK's together for a more rounded sound.

And still one more pairing...both 1x15's for loud Classic Rock stuff.

Pretty soon I'm going to add another SVT-15EN to pair up with the one I already have, and just run Ampeg's together for some gigs, and GK's for others.

Ampeg bass heads, though.

Sunn Coliseum as a second, if I can find a good deal on one when I'm ready.

Can't we all just get a bong??

I personally feel, that from the posts I have read from both of you guys, that you are both very intelligent, funny guys that I would love to meet sometime (hopefully in the near future). but the bickering has got to end with someone, somewhere....
Just my two cents. Please forgive me if I am out of line.

Back to ampeg. ..

The tube combo you speak of Rayan is very phat in the tone department. I have heard a few of these lovely little beasts in person, I must state that I have never personally played thru one, but I loved what I heard coming out of that speaker; very warm, very phat, very AMPEG!
those lil buggers are'nt cheap by any means.

BTW I normally play my SR5's thru and AMPEG SVT CL head, and own a 8X10 and a 4X10 hlf CL. Since I got the HLF I rarely plug in the 8X10 for any reason anymore. but one of the bands I play with wants more speaker on stage. So I make them move the "fridge" LOL.
Portable is in no way, shape, or form to describe a SVT CL setup in any config. But the tone is worth every ounce!!

I'm asking this of everyone:

Please give things a break. Take some time away from the keyboard and relax. There are more important things in life.

And as Jack (aka Mr. Manners) puts it: It ain't worth it to fight on the internet.

"THANK YOU" Msg To BP - 'NAMMon BONGOman'

~
Hey BP,
- I realize you're rather busy at this time of year,
- NAMM being what it is etc.

For what it's worth, from my experience,
- this is a really fine forum you got going
- You, Dr.Bovine, Nurse Beth, ModeratorZall
- and your gaggle of "Freaks" & Friends etc

- and all our *International Friends*

$
As I've been making changes in my Corporate-Country-Boy life
- it's been a real source of information and inspiration here

Tnx to you and all the EB Forumites,
- I'm gettin' reenergized
- as a bass player,
- and in my region, as a community minded citizen

Noone needs to hear any of my problems
- you've all seen some weird sh*t under my name over time

Tnx to all of you for your support
- past, now, and ongoing
- ALL of you !!!

$
ALL of you Musically Enthusiastic Human Beings who come here
because we love BP and respect what he and his family has done,
- True "Legendary Stuff",
and keeps doing for all of us and the world of music as a whole

I'm no expert on anything really,
- I grew up listening to everything since Hank Williams
- but as a human being and a musician, I'm always most inspired by stories I've read about Jaco, and how he had some problems, and what a person he was, and what a musical wizard he was, and how one night, when he was a bit on the 'outside' of things, someone whacked him, and he never woke up again in this world

I have Jaco's training video, and I see him
- 'lovin' a beat up 'J' bass
- and it boggles my mind

$
It's a tough time of the year for everybody,
- some of us are hurtin' worse than other at times

Anybody wants to yell or scream or let off some anxiety
- YELL AT ME !!!
- but please forgive each other for the miracle of humanity that gives each of us a chance to "Freak Out" with our Creative energies in a positive way
- all the while making us each so fragile and sensitive to hurt and pain and everything else in this crazy world

$
OMG
- Celine Dion just came on the jukebox
- I'm gonna cry !

LOVE EACH OTHER
- even when each of us makes mistakes

THANKS BP !!!
