Just make sure it is in fact "new with warranty" as he said in the email to you because he conveniently did not mention this in the eBay ad so you would have no recourse through eBay if it isn't.

Well the guy called me this morning and I quizzed him pretty thoroughly. According to him their store is doing a major renovation and adding a bunch of teaching studios. They plan to move about 50 grand in merchandise to pay for this project without financing all of it. He assured me that it was new in the box with full warranty. I’ve paid for it and should get it in two or three days, but I’m not as excited as I would normally be.

As I said before and I truly mean it, I would never want to do anything to damage my relationship with EBMM; I love their basses and the people that own and work there.

I hope I have screwed up anything.

Id just like to echo Dude here.

As a bidder/buyer, you did NOTHING wrong. You have no agreement with EBMM on what you pay for thier basses. So all youre guilty of is getting a great deal.

As far as the seller. They do have an agreement with EBMM on what they can/cant sell basses for. It appears that they sold you the bass for less than they are supposed to in an internet "environment".

So the only issue here, is one that may arise between EBMM and the dealer who sold you the bass.

As long as you do get the warranty, and the bass is as advertised, enjoy it.

And post some clothed pics. :D

I mean, you clothed, not the bass. :D

Hey Andrew, did you ever try the Ashdown stuff?
I've owned the MAG 300 bass combo and the MAG 210 bass cab. Both sound great, but I think the Ashdown sound can be somewhat limited; mostly designed for a British classic rock sound, IMO.

I have the ABM sreies with the tube preamp, I can get lots of sounds out of it. I haven't tried the MAG series thought. I like it, but don't use it much, only when I need the extra power. My main rig at the moment is the Ampeg B-15R with a B-15S, pretty much a one tone wonder, but that is a great tone. :D
