I'm from that neck of the woods, so it will always be home to me. I'm from Independence VA, about seven miles away from Elk Creek and as kid I had a summer job planting pine trees there.

You're not far from where I grew up... a rare Southerner on the boards here, eh? I grew up in North Wilkesboro, NC. I guess it's about an hour or so to the south of Independence if memory serves. Used to do bike trips with a bike shop I worked for up to Damascus and the Virigina Creeper trails all the time. Are you a MerleFest-goer by any chance?

Cheers...

He's not digging it. He hates it and is trying to make himself like it by playing in the corner and telling himself softly he likes the bongo.

Either that, or he is rockin' out with his new bongo. :D

Whew, I sort of zoned out for the last hour or so... Good God! What an instrument! And there is a CAR 5 coming? These instruments will require some time, to understand and take advantage of the power.

I played first thru the Ampeg Big Ass Amp, old school tone to the bone, right away! Then for the last hour thru the Ashdown ABM500 C210H+410H, this will be from now on, "the Bongo amp", you so much as look at a knob on the Bongo you'll hear a difference with that amp.

I can't say anything new, it's all been said before, the Bongo is a killer!!! The blend knob is a joy to turn, such a wide array of tones just sweeps by. :D

Worth the wait? Hell Yeah!!!
Thanks BP and Company, excellent instrument and it's left handed.... too frick'n cool!:D
