Try to make sure you're not calling out... GoogleBot ! On my cat-related forum, I often have a big bunch of "non-registered users", but when I go to the admin section and check details, all these "users" have the same IP address. And if I trace this address I get GoogleBot

Hehe....going under the assumption that BP won't mind us using his forum for a little feline chatter, I'll tell a short story.
Several years ago when I was thinking of getting my first ragdoll, I asked a friend of mine if he knew any cat breeders. He said, 'Cat breeders? Is there such a thing? You don't breed cats, they just happen!"
I couldn't stop laughing...and the quote stuck with me.
