Just leave em be!

Like stretch marks on women and lines on your face, proves that they have been used and abused by life.

*thinking*

You could start taking your belt off. That would at least keep it from getting worse.

McGuire's (sp?) makes a polishing/finishing compound that supposedly will work on guitar finishes. Me, I just live with the mojo.

deal with it like a scar from when you did something really dumb.

but if that doesn't work. if they are light, GHS makes a semi-abbrassive polish that gets out SOME scratches, also, car polish works well, and that scratch repair stuff that you can get on the tv...

theres a slew of stuff, generally what works well on cars works on guitars (kw: generally!! motoroil, any thing that ends in "fluid", antifreeze, or an abundance of water is bad! bad bad bad! However, brake pads might make good mutes....:D )
