but if that doesn't work. if they are light, GHS makes a semi-abbrassive polish that gets out SOME scratches, also, car polish works well, and that scratch repair stuff that you can get on the tv...
theres a slew of stuff, generally what works well on cars works on guitars (kw: generally!! motoroil, any thing that ends in "fluid", antifreeze, or an abundance of water is bad! bad bad bad! However, brake pads might make good mutes.... )

+ i got 2 little holes in the finish from my computer chair.
it had a little metal piece stickin out from the rubber handles and when i played sitting on the chair, i guess it scrached my bass deep which sucks even more
