I haven't been to my "local guy" yet, but I have used Jason at Drum City Guitar Land out in Colorado USA and I absolutely love the attention to detail and service and freebies you get from them. He is so knowledable and helpful.
I will get back to you on my local guy, once i check him out.

The GC in Vegas is great, the guys that I have dealt with are interested in EBMM and have no problem looking up a price quote for you on the spot. Once the guy was a tad busy and asked for my cell #, I was maybe 3 minutes down the road from leaving and he called me with a price. They have a few EBMM's in stock too

Pat's Desert Music is another good location for EBMM, and the guys there are great, especially "Beetlejuice" He loved my AL and is a great tech too.

I think CowTown Guitars is also an EBMM dealer, never been to that store though

The guys who hosted Albert Lee last year is also an EBMM dealer, the name of his store escapes me right now, but last time I was in there it was loaded with F----- relics only

If some of these locations are no longer authorized dealers, I apologize, it's been awhile since I had any need to look for anything.

+1 on that GC in Vegas. You guys are so lucky to have GC in the USA! You may bitch about GC from time to time, but you don't know how lucky you all are. We have nothing like this in the UK, nothing of that size and stock. Every kind of string pedal and the like known to man! And they did have a rosewood Axis in there, though it was in there last year when I went in there, and the neck felt reallt dry when I played it last week.

A lot of the SF Bay Area authorized dealers are expert on MM Basses, but know little of the MM guitars. I'm in the market for an AL, nobody's got one and only a few have even heard of it!

It depends on the staff, too (especially at the local GC, which seems to have a fairly high turnover of personnel).

i wish more people would see the light
I don't, because in most cases I can get an EBMM delivered to your door in an unopened box from the factory (unless it's come from my stock here, which I've only opened to take photo's for the website) at a competitive price.

The local GC near me is a dealer and hasn't had an EBMM since I worked there in 1999-2002. I sold more EBMM's than anyone in the area. Awesome guitars. I sold so many that I had to pull them in from other stores... and they were always poorly taken care of. I had to clean them and set them up before I showed them. When I left- OLP was the only thing they continued to pull in.

The other dealer is Airport and the guy is such an asshole that he's had the same stock for the past 5 years (not sure how long the EBMMs have been there though-long time though).

As some of you know I've only recently joined the forum and am stiil catching up on the various threads. I've just seen DG5150's comment about Strings and Things being as much use as ' a kick in the teeth' and would really like to know what that comment is based on.
