Give this a shot and tell me what happens:

- hold your EB bass of choice in playing position
- hold two dimes together and slip them under the E string at 12th fret

Do the dimes stay in place without holding them or do they fall to the ground?

Paging Mr. NorM. Paging Mr. NorM. Your dimes are needed at the white courtesy phone.

edit: Fall to the ground.

Why?

Could I have the thickness and weight of two dimes, and I'll give it a try.

Thickness of two dimes is slightly more than 3/32". I don't know the weight.

Dime? Well I could try a Dime Bar....dnt think this will work in the UK - unless a dime is the size of a 1p, 2p or even a 5p.....sounds fun though:)

Humoring...

Two dimes stay put...

Playing position or hanging on the wall - don't matter - they stay put. :)

(Thanks John - I will never forget!)
