Jubs, the 'social outcast' thing will pass. There is and has been for some time something that I like about you, and believe me when I say I don't like many 15 year olds.

But don't remain ignorant if you can help it. The world around you is worth knowing.

Smart and ignorant don't walk hand in hand all that well anyway, if you see what I mean.

Keep striving, lil brother.

Well my problem was I was trying to imagine a world with no society, no laws, no rules, no morals. How would we know how to behave? I started thinking my liking for girls was only because society told me to like girls, but mebbe I do actually liek them.Meh, I cant be assed trying to imagine things that are never gonna happen anymore.

With your self professed bass playing talent, surely your regular high paying gigs would enable you to pay for a new Stingray in no time at all.

And if you think life as a 15 year old is tough, wait until you're old enough for ALL your grandparents to die, you've been divorced yourself, and the next people to die will be your parents. Welcome to life, laddie.

wow, this thread is all over the place, it should stay up forever and see where it goes.

speaking of craziness in the head.

I "woke" up today and realized that I only have two(2) basses right now!!!

this will not do. Admitedly, i do have a wal on the way (soon....soon...), but none-the-less, I would only have 2 options for working basses (5 basses if you count the ones i've butchered).

I think mental conditions (depression, parnoid, etc.) are merely fabrications of the mind, concious enacted, or not. I think most conditions are caused by the minds inability to percieve all things at once. It has been proven that mental and physical reflexes are significantly slower in a state of depression.

If the brain can percieve and understand all things at once, then it is in a standard and enjoyable state. when it cannot (times of excess stress/responsability), it slows things down.

and to think i've been talking from my rectum this whole time...typing with it too...

i've got pictures if anyone wants them.

no one made any offers on my "fretless bass".

hey! look at some stuff

Disquieter,
A couple of questions about the Wal bass you ordered:
1) What model did you go with? Geddy Lee model?
1) What is it about the Wal do you like so much? I noticed when Geddy played them in the 80's they sounded very trebbly. Do they all sound this way? Just curious.
Doug.

Let's all step back, take a deep breath and remember that we all have our little sob stories. The only difference is in how we choose to deal with them.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

Ditto.

Thank you, Jack.

What's all that in the rack?

first off, none of it's forsale. that's just the section of my domain where i keep pics not used in the website.

and the list!
starting on the top!

1: behringer 10channel mixer, with all my preamps and synths plugged in
2: Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording Preamp
3: Mesa Boogie M2000
4: in the picture is a PL-Plus power conditioner, but no there is a BBE sonic Maximizer
(current) 5: Behringer Virtualizer Pro (multieffects, very nice)
6: PL-Plus power conditioner
there is a 2U spacer that moves around depending on my mood.
my order will change once I finish the move and can install things into my studio racks, bigger, more permanent, hold more of my stuff, the little roadready guy will be my.....road...ready......guy? (funny, i call a 400 dollar rack a little guy...)

inside is various pedals and whatnot, sitting on top of the power conditioner.

Behind all that stuff: a Yamaha acoustic/electric 6string (the egyptian one with quilted mahagony back/sides)

1985 gibson customshop explorer, was fireengine red, no is black with natural quilted maple top, no finish on the neck.

1962 Washburn Wingseries Prototype

little keyboard.

aguilar GS212

1978 Stingray

on the desk I have a bottle of nouriche', my Roland monitors with the line blacked out so it says "POLAND", some wrenches, my letterless keyboard.

oh yes, monster cables all around for the bass rig.

Regarding the WAL, I actually managed to score a used one off of TB, 1984 Wenge facing MK1, unoriginal HC but it's a fodera case. he says it fits perfectly and I believe him. 1350 shipped....

I originally wanted an MK2, but i realized I prefer less frets, and i like the fact that the mk1 has more body mass than the 2, less of an offset shape as well. Overall it appeals to me, seeing as I would never get above the 21st fret anyway. I'm not good enough to buy realestate that high.

oh yeah, the tye-dye tapestry hanging there, it's about 8ftx5.5ft and was made by Dr. Pang, he has his own line of Ayote drums, plus he did lots of drugs, and he provided this for me when he left.

fun
