There is no other way to say it… I am blown away! I have searched for over seven years for the perfect guitar for me. My search has ended with Ernie Ball! I've built guitars I've played Les Pauls And fenders and many others and never even thought of Ernie Ball. On a hunch I recently picked up my first Ernie Ball music man reflex 25th anniversary guitar and I will never go back to the instruments I played before. This guitar is perfect! The Ernie Ball company has made and created the perfect instrument for me!

I wanted to hear some other stories from guitarists on this forum of how you came to connect to your first Ernie Ball instrument! I'm glad to be a part of the family!

Hi Jason and welcome to the forum. Where are you ? (maybe put your location in your details?)

I played a Les paul since 1974 - gave up for a looooong time and decided to start again - looked for something different and the bass player played a MM bass. Man what a sound - another friend - a pro bass player Burke Shelly with Budgie went out and got one too. I was knocked out by the Albert lee and ummmed and ahhhed oover the shape. After playing one there was no looking back I currently have 3 Alberts and a hardtail Van Halen. I also rescued a fully loaded JP6 and sold it after a while. They are just fantastic guitars !!!!

Bought my first MM, an AL HH, from a junkie at a ridiculous price.
Initial plan was to sell it immediately to grab a few bucks.
Well... turns out I sold all my other "non-MM" guitars.

Wow, that's a beauty! I had a similar experience when I tried out my Majesty the first time. It's almost impossible to comfortably play anything else! My search went on for about 18 years, with many extended stops along the way. I'm definitely happy where I ended up! Congrats!

I can't recall exactly, but i do remember the Ball family almost begging me to play their guitars. It was very flattering

I was looking for a backup hardtail guitar for gigs with my cover band at the time in 2006. Guitar Center had a great deal on a hartail Axis Super Sport Rosewood. Having owned a PRS guitar with an all rosewood neck, I already loved the all rosewood neck. The guitar had a couple dings on it, but it played and sounded fantastic. Got a great price. I was blown away by how good the guitar was and the very reasonable EBMM pricing on their new guitars. That guitar opened the floodgates. I've been through a number of EBMM guitars since then (mostly Luke models), and have settled on the LIII model as the guitar that speaks to me. I also have a 25th Anni as well that I absolutely love. So versatile. Great choice and enjoy the ride!

Ok! Another Wow! For the first time in my music career, I was able to make it through an entire set using one guitar! My 25th Anny Reflex! Just unbelievable flexibility and tonal options! It worked perfectly and felt like a dream! Imagine the money I could have saved if I had just tried a Musicman Guitar 7 years ago! Thousands upon thousands of trial and error all summed up into one guitar! ERNIE BALL REFLEX!

I've been trying to stop searching for used 25th's. You're not helping!

Glad you're enjoying that gorgeous guitar.

Welcome Jason! My very first MM was a White Reflex HT. Unbelievable guitar. Don't know what I was thinking when I traded it in. Not a smart move. Anywho, GREAT choice for your first MM and again - welcome!
