Just got back from the pub - a mate of mine came in and wanted to see the LEAL.
He knew I was getting it but had preconceived ideas, he reckoned he was not going to like it.

He was blown away - by the sound, by the way it looked - and he had seen my BCB AL, so the concept of the AL was not new to him.

Tell ya what guys those MM90's x 3 are serious pickups - their capabilities are staggering!! (and I have 3 humbuckers in my Les Paul)

Wow! nice Spud, very good choise.

I bet those MM90's + rosewood board sounds terrific. How does the neck play compared to your BCB Al? Any different or...?

Sud, congrat!!! You gonna change the knobs?

Glenn |B)

Who's Sud ?? lol!!

I like the knobs that Lance Romance has on his - I may do, I haven't decided yet.

I have a friend who owns a Jewellers and he has offered to make me a solid gold knob for the Trem arm. He has asked me if I have any scrap bracelets/earings/rings, and he'll melt them down and make one. I need to find out what the thread is on the trem bar. The thread looks like good ol' fashioned 2 B.A. to me, I'll try and check that one out.

It sounds fantastic - those MM90's are so versatile.

Yes Passarellee, the neck does feel slightly different to my BCB - I'll check it out with a profile guage and report back.

I'm so lucky to have 2 fantastic guitars.

I don't need another!!!

The long-lost illegitimate sister of Allison! Hey Spud, congrats on what you now also know to be an amazing axe! Still totally knocked-out by mine, even tho I recently bought a PRS 513 Mahogany that's getting a lot of play (unbelievable guitar, wrong forum). Still, nothing sounds and plays like a ALLE. Lose the "discount Strat copy" knobs for some serious jewellery.
By the way Spud, guitars are GIRLS. Why else do we throw so much money at them? Mine always reminds me of a great picture I have of Peta Wilson wearing nothing but a tails jacket...sigh.-Eric

:DI guess they could but I'll try them when everything else fails - ya see, my Dad was a jig and tool maker by trade, and I have inherited all his taps/dies/lathe cutters etc. - So I'll try some of his stuff to establish the thread first, b4 I go pestering CS.

Man I'm loving this LEAL !!!! :D

Hey Eric - nice one!

Yeah it was because of yours that I had to track one down.
I thought the gold plated hardware was going to be OTT but it looks fine!

I like the way the MM90's roll back, and the guitar is soo versatile - but I've still yet to really crank it up. Gonna try it through a Musicman RD112 this week and if I like it I'll get it - but there again a brand new Peavey Valvekingwouldn't cost me much more !!!

Yeah the knobs, I'll have to look back at your post to see where you got them, and mull the idea over.

So yours reminds you of Peta Wilson huh? I haven't thought about who my LEAL reminds me of, but if I shout out "AL" during the night, my wife will think nothing of it 'cos that's what I call her (Short for Alyson);)
