Man of few words

I know!... what can I say im a serial lurker! :D

Hello Knuckleheads,

Mikey, you were indeed the most deserving winner of the guitar, really musical and playing with me rather than against me certainly was noticed by all the boys on the stand. Also having watched your video you certainly have some cool grooves that you didn't get chance to showcase at the show, and, thanks for lending me the shades! I'm sure Big Poppa will be pleased with comments on the AX40.

The Devil certainly does have a lot less hair than Guthrie and also wishes he could play like Guthrie as well!

Doing the duels is meant to be a lot of fun and myself and the guys at Strings and Things are happy that people get up, whatever their level of playing, and take it as such. Like many things we couldn't do it without people taking part.

Indeed Spud it is the same Devil you have quaffed ale with in the past and hopefully there will remain only one Devil, like Highlander I think there can be only one!

The new Musicman amps sound really cool, I've tried them all over the weekend. They have a great clean sound which you can colour with pedals of your choice like we did at the show with numerous Mooer pedals, if you saw Bryan Kellner's demo's you can hear a lot of what you can do sonically. They are also incredibly light, so if you're a few thousand years old like me it's easy on the back! You can lift the 4x12 with one hand!

I would like to say a big thank you to the boys at Strings and Things, they asked me to do the show, and we've been doing them together for nearly ten years! Demonstrating MM guitars is a great job and they're so consistent that even if I don't use my own guitar you know the one you pick up, whatever model, will be great straight out of the box.

A special thanks to Alex at S&T, I know his brain had turned to soup by the time of the show organising and building stands. The Musicman Stand looked amazing!

Thanks for all the kind comments on my playing, if you would like to know my true identity you need to look at posts by Blind Lemon or just OM Spud!

See ya soon,

The Devil

Mr Devil!! thank you very much sir thats very kind of you to say, and thanks regarding the video, hopefully we get to jam again one day!
and I think we all wish we could play like guthrie!! :D

Was this only at the show or is there a video link somewhere?

Going good Jimmyb, need to make sure I'm around a bit more.
Hopefully there'll be more shows and demo's coming up.
I'll make sure they're posted on the forum as soon as we know about them.
Would be cool to all meet up again.
See ya soon.

ey oop lad, as soon as heard ya speak I knew it was THE Devil.

That's great news about more events in the future and look nforward to meeting up with you.

I've seen Ming over a few curries and pints when I was in Worthing!!

MM amp sounds interesting and from your description it seems that it has the same sound as my '81 RD50 - albeit a lot lighter.

Great stuff mate, and really nice to see you on here again.

Was this show advertised anywhere? It's existence seems to have completely passed me by!

Was only thinking about relative lack of gear/guitar shows the other day too...

In an effort to keep the momentum going, the devil will be appearing at The Guitar Show 2015. Bingley New Hall, somewhere in Birmingham(UK) Feb 28th and March 1st 2015. This is a great UK guitar show and well worth making the effort to get to!
