That law is still in effect. Even without the serial number the back of the headstock is pretty unique.

I don't know how much sway it would hold, but he could always print out his initial post with the date on it....

BTW, the problem is not that the drummer "friend" is a b*st*rd : the real issue is that the drummer's family is a b*st*rds' family, according to what appears to be their complicity...

What differences do you see?

His bass has something by the knobs and the bottom horn, can't really make out what it is. The bass on the right is very clean. Nothing in those areas.

I think it's just a rather poor quality pic/reflections because the grain to me looks identical.
Personally, i'll be shocked if it's not the same bass.

FWIW a little more detective work: the back of the headstock has a Steve's sticker on it so the bass would have to come from the east. I believe the owner is from Quebec and lost it in BC so that fits.
