Okay, so this is sort of a fantasy thread - what would you like to see EBMM make? We're talking new models here, not a permutation on an existing EBMM guitar. Note that this is not a petition to the company of any kind, just a fun thread where EBMM fans can let their imaginations run wild.

I think what I'd like to see would be a guitar with a semi-hollow/chambered body, and "Wide Range"-style humbuckers. Basically, a Telecaster Custom-type guitar, but with all of the EBMM perks. The body might even be similar to the Axis body - ideally, the pickups should be made in-house, similar to the original wide range humbucker specifications (split-coil, cunife-2 threaded magent polepieces). Nobody actually makes pickups like these any more (fender's own wide ranges are nothing like the originals apart from being cosmetically similar), and the tele deluxe/custom is gaining in popularity, so I think such a gutiar could make a huge splash.

That's my fantasy ball...what's yours?

Okay? How would it differ from other acoustic guitars? Aside from the fantastic overall build quality, what about the guitar would be unique to EBMM?

A slightly tamed superstrat shaped body, HSH or SSH configuration, rear mounted pickups with removable pickguard with no cavity (dunno if anything like this exists) so you can go with or without a pickguard. 24 frets, maple and rosewood available, with lime green and bright blue availble as color options. Floating or flush MM vintage trem, or string-thru.

Ok so it's basically a silo/luke/JP hybrid :p

I guess MM has about ever angle covered

But if I did that, then there's no discussion, which is the whole point - if you've participated in such a thread before, nobody's forcing you to regurgitate the same thing again. Also, it's not about what EBMM is likely to do, just about what we would like to see.

Actually, there are a number of popular guitar features which EBMM doesn't offer -

*Hollow or semi-hollow/chambered bodies
*Set-neck or through-body neck joints
*Scale lengths other than 25.5"
*Carved tops

Just to name a few. Not that there's a problem with that, I do prefer that EBMM does what they do best rather than try to be a "jack of all trades, master of none", but that doesn't stop me from lusting after guitars from other companies because they have features that no EBMM has. ;)

Fair enough - I think the thing with this is that since most acoustic guitar necks are set-in, this might complicate the manufacturing process, although I'm sure it can probably be done. I don't think *too* many acoustic guitar necks are made of maple (correct me if I'm wrong), which being a close-grained wood is one of the easiest to do the oil/wax finish on.

I've actualy heard that a properly designed bolt-on can sustain as good or better than a neck-thru. I think I heard that on this forum and the ESP forum both. For me, EBMM makes everything I could ever want in a guitar, sans little nuances like colors and pickup options.

it would be great if ebmm make a new :
- ebmm acoustic guitar (with small body and neck, with an exotic top wood, has a fishman aura pu system and has a piezo pick up on it's bridge>>is that double pu's gonna make it better or worst? i don't know actuallly, i don't know what i'm talking about :D:D)
- ebmm jazz box
- ebmm travel guitar.. (has a luke neck with one emg 89 pick up, with a body that so small so you can put it inside your travel bag)
- ebmm luke/silo anniversary with an ash natural finish that has a mahogany tone block inside of that ash body

but it's just my imagination..

I'd like something like a 20th Silo but slightly different. Mainly in shape.

Mahogany / maple body (quilt or flame)
Maple / rosewood neck (22 fret)
Vintage tremolo bridge
Two humbuckers (like on Axis)

There is a reason why they don't make a bongo guitar. I had my hands on one at the Open House as well as others......just didn't look right. I thought I would like it, then I saw it...

Well thats too bad... here I thought one was in the works. I know tho that sometimes things just don't "work" and trust that must be the case here.
