So I was clear as mud... I was under the impression that SRs were offered with Piezos before Sterlings. I am more than likely completely wrong on this... having false memories... the old grey brain ain't what she used to be....

You may well be correct.

In relation to peizo introduction itself, I think year 2000 is probably closer to the mark rather than my previous 1998 guess.
