I think Im going to a remote island with a ukelele and a smoker and a stack of mysteries. I checked into my dreaded Facebook account and got a long personal message about the action of this guys JP7...six of the strings are fine but the low B rattles a little.

Now if I dont answer it I am unresponsive to my customers problems...If I answer it and please tell hiim to go to his dealer first, customer service next and then the owner of the company on a Sunday morning....I am a jerk.

This probably wouldnt bother you guys but there is no way that I can make everyone happy.....

That just blows my mind. Why would someone even approach you with something like that out of the gate? That's just absurd to me. It's not like you can do anything but refer him to someone else anyway, right?
I think it's amazing the lengths that you go to to stay in touch with us and 'smell our breath'. I really enjoy the behind the scenes perspective that you offer with your blog and your posts. Very cool. I think this guy is taking advantage of the fact that you are so accessible. I hate to think that you would have to reward that behavior. Word would get out...then what? Just my $.02.

Listen dont cry for me but the fact is that many people in todays society expect instant results when they want them and from who they want them from.

the fact that Im so accessible is that I deeply love the guitar and bass. I have been accused of pandering here and not being real....That claim also astounds me... You cant fake 5 am sunday morning posts.

I just wanted to give you guys a little insight into social trends...

Don't think! Do! :D Sounds like an awesome deal to me, hehe.

Anyways, I know the Facebook nonsense. None of the professors at the university I teach at are allowed to socialize with any students or potential students on Facebook because of the nightmare FB can be.

Sometimes social networking aint really what its cut out to be.

Not to diagnose a problem sight unseen, but isn't the low B meant to rattle a little in the first place? I mean, unless the strings are really off the fretboard, there's always bound to be a little rattle.

I hate it when people complain about things that usually aren't problems to begin with.

Majority of people nowadays are totally unreasonable...I think Luke hit the nail on the head in many aspects in that recent interview. People rely way too much on technology these days in all the wrong ways...this is one of them. People cant wipe their *** without tweeting about and soon they wont be able to do it without asking fro advice. No one seems to educate themselves about anything these days before they get into something...take for instance my job as a coop/condo property manager. People buy into these buildings and have NO idea about what it means to own one and rules that apply. Way too much ignorance out there.

Sorry BP for the small rant...but I completely understand your frustration, and the fact is that it's impossible to make everyone happy no matter what you do.

I work in a restaurant and people now are very impatient and want things instantly , food takes more then 5 minutes they get mad , if it's busy and we run out of something they get mad. No one says please or thank you anymore , they are too bust texting people from their precious blackberry to even acknowledge that there is a bartender standing right in front of them to take their order. I have peoe who walk in a half before we open and wonder why they can't eat , the kitchen isn't open yet. It says the time on the door or do we have to text it or PM it to you . Society has just grown rude and they want what they want when they want it.

BP, you can set your privacy to only allow PM's from your
Friends list. Goto account settings. Then go back to bed. It's too early.

BP, sorry to hear about that.

I am probably one of the last few people in the United States who is "Not" on Facebook! I get razzed about it constantly. Trust me.

As far as the Forum goes, I think it is truly an honor to have you make comments about things. Not many places get this type of involvement from the owner of the company.

Get some rest!

That's so absurd ... sometimes people need to take a deep breath and think "am I going to look like an idiot?" before they fire off messages like that.

There is no such thing as "normal"...however there is something called common sense, which unfortunately is not common anymore.

I know I can but the thought that you would pm the owner of a company on a sunday morning because your b string buzzes is just crazy.

This is what blows my mind. I would never think to directly contact the head of the company unless he was the only person working there!

BP, you're a good guy to even entertain the "little guys" at all, let alone interact on a regular basis with us here and even put up with a few Facebook PMs!

BP, I think it's brave to have an open facebook/blog/forum account. Most bosses won't do that, maybe with that in mind he thought you where some kind of question answerer for the company? Maybe he didn't know... ?

I guess some people just don't get it. If I had an oil leak in my van I wouldn't send an email to the Head of Chrysler. I've never gotten the Facebook phenomenon. I held off for as long as I could but finally joined just to keep in contact with people I know. Don't post too much.

P.S. What ever happened to technology making things easier and more convenient for us. With all the things they add to cell phones........I'm still waiting for a phone that gets crystal clear reception.

Hey Big Poppa. I was driving to pick up my son last night and had my sub 1 in the trunk. Well, I stepped on the gas, going down a straightaway, and the Check Engine Light came on. Since the sub 1 was clearly in the car, I'm sure that there was an issue with the neck that caused the Check Engine Light. Can you please drop what you're doing and fix my problem right now?

:D

(I ignore facebook PMs.....)

Hey BP,

Is it worth considering an Alias and putting it out to your pals only? - I was in the dentist the other day and reading some trashy womens mag, apparently Keanu does it!

Fame comes at a price!
