Im off to trade my JP Mystic dream matching H/S for another ball......




Great story,
I noticed a fellow forum Member was getting rid of a Ball so I decided to PM him and was thinking more along the lines of 'I wished I had the money but unfortunatly....blah blah blah!!'


I already knew he had a fully loaded JP Mystic so as a Joke I aksed if he would want another one,thinking he wouldnt....

So he messages me back saying yeah if your up for it.

Too right Iam as the new guitar is more vesitile and has exactly what Im looking for at the moment.

i then get a phone call from a close friend and I tell him Im getting rid of the JP etc. and he says 'ohh i think he has a buyer....me'


great news becuase he is a mighty fine player and I know I will be first on the hit list when/if he goes to sell her on again...and I'll whip it up

Ah, the convoluted twists and turns of Ball ownership

New Ball day is a thing to be treasured, especially if it's a Friday and a whole weekend of playing is sitting in front of you.

It an axis super sport matching headstock burnt apple with a hardtail and piezo's and the bridge MM90 is swapped for a steve special dimarzio P90 size


she is lovely

I'd definitely take another JP in DG. However, I would NEVER take an ASS over a JP...Not in a million years ... I can only imagine the weird mix that'll create with your Dual Rec. We're gonna need some clips! And pics!

ah good one! I passed on that Burnt Apple Super Sport myself, i was almost gonna pull the trigger, huge congrats, its a fine axe indeed!!!!!!!! Did Gordon give up on wanting an Axis??

It might just be the honeymoon period but....

It out performs the JP and the Bridge pickup is ALOT better than the JP more gain nicer top mids and treble

harmonics squeal outta this thing its insane and the neck pup is alot smoother than the JP six string sweeps just roll on out and when you apply a tap at the end of these you can hear them just as clear as you would normally

It has been set up really well to and I feel very comfortable already


so basically it gives off a strange illusion you can hear the heavy riffs in Low B but you see a more vintage looking guitar with MM90's

It isnt what you would normally class an ASS

I dont even consider it an ASS its a completely different animal........Is this love,is this love,is this love,is this love that Im feeling???(goes on to play a II,II,IV,V progression in Amajor)


and now I shall try and clear up my original post

I had a JP but I swapped it for a mates ASS

another mate then phones me asking if I had swapped my JP for an ASS,I say yes and he replys wit 'Im the buyer of your JP'

All three of us are mates and we all basically own balls now

plus he may see about a Bahama Blue burst Luke


and he also has a warmoth custom strat on the way with finely tuned neck profile...exactly like a Luke

Im also buying a JPM Ibanez body from him which has a AAA flame top and was made by monster guitars

so Im not gonna be outta a trem Either

Glad you like it! MM90 ASS just rocks! The MM90's are a well kept secret it seems! Very versatile, and the ASS neck is great.
