Thanks man! Ya know I never noticed if other Axises come with binding (JP owner here). Now I need to do a search.

All Axis "standard" guitars and Axis Super Sport guitars come with binding. The old Axis Sport (no longer in production) didn't have a binding. Just had a roundover edge from the top to the sides. Like Johnny Alien's in the FS thread here:

Interesting. I always grab Axises off the rack when I see them and the things that I notice are the comfort of the neck, smaller body, and great tone. It seems that all of that overshadowed the details for me.

Do you need one of these? Of course you do. But you better hurry as they're there and gone fast! The Perfect Guitar sold all of theirs before they hit their website. Music Zoo called me and told me that they have one inbound next week.
Have you seen the specs on these? It's like a wish-list dream come true.
