Nice work BP very well done. That particular rmarket niche was needed back after the Olp - S.U.B. series were discontinued and I am sure the Sterling by Music Man range will be welcome by all :)

hmmm thats dumb to call the series the sterling, I guarantee people will get confused in the shops. I can imagine telling someone yeah I play a musicman Sterling bass and them going oh yeah those are good mid level bass having no idea they make an actual high end sterling.

oh well

Of course I can't speak for you, but with more than half of a brain it's not that confusing.

Well you can bet that most GC employees and non EBMM guitar players will be confused :D

I kid, I kid

No speakers at work so I can't hear if there's anything being said in that video, but where are these gonna be produced?

Oh, I see. The pictures are small in the slideshow, so they look like the main line of EBMM instruments.

I'm glad you guys are getting back into the lower to mid priced market for those who cannot afford the regular models but still want an EBMM.

I am a little confused; the Sterling is a model of bass, right? Now it's a series of instruments too? (Ray34, Ray35, guitars...)

Well I thought the video was actually quite self explanatory.

You have this new range called Sterling by Music Man, of which the guitars and basses shapes and models are obviously hinted at the higher end models from the Ernie Ball Music Man parent company therefore according to the video I understood the following:

S by MM: Ax20 is equvalent to the EBMM Axis model
S by MM: lJP50 is equivalent to the EBMM J. Petrucci model
S by MM: Silo20 is equivalent to the EBMM Silouhette model
S by MM: Ray34 is equivalent to the EBMM Stingray 4 model
S by MM: Ray35 is equivalent to the EBMM Stingray 5 model
S by MM: SB14 is equivalent to the EBMM Sterling 4 model

I am going to have to agree that the new branding will lead to confusion. Yes, any MM regular will be able to figure it out. Consumers shouldn't be put into a position where they need to figure something out. Adding naming confusion can't be good thing, especially to a first-time buyer (who is likely the target audience for this line).

For example, Gibson has Epiphone. Fender has Squire.

But if Gibson instead opened up a new brand called Les Paul, that was not part of their normal Gibson signature line, well, I wouldn't fault anyone for getting confused.

Wow, you guys sure got alot on your plate this year. But good on you for going ahead and offering yourself what the budget crowd has been looking for, you may as well being the one profiting from your designs.
