Introducing Sterling by Music Man

Hello Pat and all at EBMM. First and foremost thank you for taking the time to post all this info. I don't want to seem ungratefull by any means but I was just wondering if there is goint to be any Silo Special type Sterling guitar? The reason I ask is because the SS is by far FOR ME, the most confortable, most versatile guitar ever made.

I'm guessing this is a no-brainer, but how about some other colors for the Ax20/ 40? Trans Red, Purple, Green, Blue?

Totally agree that those colors would rock.

Other color choices certainly will come later. i would love to see an AX20 or 40 in a Trans Red or Purple. I actually used to own an original EVH EBMM when they first came out in trans purple. Miss that guitar.

though i have two MM, i always like playing on more "affordable" guitars ...
As far as i am concerned, i learned playing guitar in a small squier strat , and it was at that time a real pleasure to play on it... Finally it took 10 years for me in playing the guitar i always dreamed: the MM luke...
so, let's return to the question: it would be a good thing to have a "luke" series or silhouette special series with HSS or SSS pick up configuration...
It would be nice too if some models would have tremolo system such as the MM. On the OLP luke i had , i was a little disappointed because of the trem bar wich was screwed on the trmolo. that fact made it not stable which was not really comfortable. the tremolo was not really good as too. In fact, though it had the same design as the original MM tremolo, it was less flexible than the original...
But it was a good guitar , until i replace the pick up by EMG ones, it sounded really good!!!!

Hi Pat,

will there be more finishes available for the guitars soon? I am dreaming of Teal Metallic on a JP50. Another good addition to the line would be a lower cost JP7 - like Sterling JP57. I would definitely go for one.

These look like exactly what I've been looking for, for a while now.

I've got an OLP MM4, and its modded quite a way, but I'm happy with it now.

And being somewhat younger, with not so much in the way of an expendable income at the moment, a proper US EB/MM is a stretch too far for me.

But these look fantastic.

I'm very looking forward to getting one of these.

This is EXACTLY what I want... A cheaper version of a Floyd Rost guitar (AX40) at a price that won't break the bank.

And on the topic of being very slow on the uptake... I have recently developed the desire to engage in whammy bar techniques (mid-life crisis?) and have been GASing for an AXIS.

This model will be perfect to complement my ASS as something I can mess around with to see if I really like the whammy bar or not. If I do, I'll save up for an AXIS and sell the AX40.

Here I was wishing for a good quality, more affordable axis, and as if by magic it appears

Hopefully I can find a dealer who'll ship to Japan!

Woo Hoo! Hopefully they won't be twice the price of those sold in the US...
An AXIS will cost about 270,000 yen (3,000 USD) here as opposed to almost half that price in the US...

I will be getting my Ax40 in March. Getting mine from a Mom and Pop in Galesburg Il. Always had a great relationship with Bruce.

Some may remember me from previous posts. I've been a long-time Axis owner until I got a Ch@$#el A*t Series. Never felt right posting here after trading an Axis for one of those. It's kind of like crawling back in bed with your wife after you just banged a stripper.(not that I know what that's like)

Anyway, the big question is:

After I get mine, am I allowed back in "The Family"?

In all seriousness, I'm extremely happy to see this. I've always felt it would be a great move for you to make a more affordable version of your instruments.

I was also very excited to learn that you guys will be monitoring quality control in SLO. That alone will set these instruments apart from other manufacturer's mid-priced instruments.
