Some of us are just posting up to the moment reports of our efforts to purchase these fine Axii. We were warned not to sit on the fence, thus many of us leapt right off said fence...perhaps prematurely.

Also, no disrespect to G.C. - these posting are merely reports of actual happenings at Guitar Centers nationwide.

I am sure if you go into your GC and give them $500 to $1,000 they will take it, as I know they do layaway. Tommydude did not have an issue with his store, if anything ask for a manager and explain the situation. Lets not get all freaky and remember we are on the forum and just heard the news direct, so it makes sense that the GC staff would not have a clue yet about a guitar that will not be in for a couple of months. I am not armchair modding as I can feel Sterling squeezing the trigger lol, but he already stated if these fly their will most likely be another GC run, or a Premeir Dealer run.I gave up gambling 11 years ago, but I would go on a limb that the sharp guys would take the over that these 130 fly off the rack pretty fast. I would not sit on my hands though as nothing is a sure thing.

Remember that if this goes nuts then Guitar Center will order more.....or it may be one of the next premier dealer deals.

Well I for one hope these sell really well and become the next premiere dealer instrument so that us UK Knuckleheads get a chance to buy one of these stunning instruments.

If they do, against all my manly bravado I would have to go for the pink, something about that finish!!

It is chit like this that makes me stay away from here, including the "oh I will just buy Sweats at a discount" well you know what I DONT LIKE FLOYDED GUITARS!!!!

Keith, relax dude... I don't see the harm in asking a legitimate question like "what the difference between hand rubbed and the current EBMM method is". Are they saying they hand rubbed is how they did them when "you know who's" name was on the headstock? If so, does that mean they are going to age in the same way that the EVH guitars did? I'm curious because I didn't like the way Purple looked on the Axis, but I loved the way it looked on the EVH. If this is what they mean then I will be calling Robbie as soon as the details are set... if not, I am going to have to wait and see them in person before I decide.

As far as the "Sweats" discount thing... I don't care how many EBMM's you have turned and I don't care if you are losing money or not. Its none of my business and as long as Mrs. Sweat is ok with it and we don't see a post saying "help, I'm losing my home" we are all good. Hell, maybe some day I will be one of the guys lucky enough to snag a sweat deal from you. But the running joke about "Ill just buy it from Keith at a discount" is your monster. If you loved a guitar for more then 2 weeks maybe it wouldn't be that way. Also, if you hate floyds so much why do you continue to buy them?

On a side note, sorry to hijack your thread BP... but I wasn't getting thrown under the buss for asking a legit question. This is a very cool idea for a special run and I am glad you guys are nice enough to share it with us.

F give me a break, first this just was announced not all info has trickled downstream, and well actual retail price wont be the number being thrown out.

Nice little run EBMM is doing and well your getting an early inside scoop be happy you get this info sooner than later and show some fing patience

Guitar Center is a great chain, and without them instuments would be harder to buy and more expensive, my GC treats me like a king, everyone knows my name and I am rewareded for my loyalty.

In france, we can't say if this tribute serie will be available. but it's OK for me....
i'll wait the opportunity to buy one and if i can buy one!!!
In France, if you order a MM guitar , sometime you can wait 6 months to keep it in yours hands!!!

Wow! Those are some fantastic looking guitars. I'm very excited about the prospect of getting one (or more!). I'm going to be in the US again in November. Hope I can scare one up then.

So with that said I just got off the phone with Robbie, he can hook you up but please understand why the deposit thing does not wok yet, there are no guitars instock or order so their system does not accept deposits only paid in full special orders. Just call him and commit he will treat you well.

Very True, I whole heartedly believe EBMM rewards loyalty and their fans with the specials they release. I really didn't get the "Hand rubbed" thingee though. I thought all EBMM colours are hand rubbed then buffed by Ersla. I could be wrong. Anywhoo, I'm a huge fan of all the formites here and EBMM. There really is not another Guitar builder who cares more about us and the product that leaves the building. Hooked for life

Nice ! What is the Gold Guitar on the far left? next to the Tobacco burst Axis. It looks like is has a finished BFR Maple Neck? Gold Roller? Or it's a light coloured Rosewood. Thank you !
