Hey guys,
so here´s the story....
I got my Petrucci in early 07, since then I felt pretty comfortable with it until the last few months when I swapped pups in my first ever guitar (Ibanez GSA60) and started playing it a lot.
Now I feel the Pet´s neck is too thin, the more traditional neck of my Ibanez feels more comfortable becuase of its thicker C-Shape.
Also, I often put my palm on the bridge resulting in a bad tune.
And besides that, I feel the Pets sound is too "meaty".
I like a bit more edgier sounds with a fast attack, kinda stratty...
And now I wonder if the Axis could serve me well!?
I like the classy look of the quilt maple top, the non-floating Trem but I´m not sure how it sounds and feels?
Wadya think?
