did someone ever experience playing acoustic guitar that has a neck feel similar like ebmm neck(anykind of ebbm, i think all of them are small, fast and great)

i always amaze with the neck of ebmm guitar, but we know there is no ebmm acoustic guitar.. so , what is your favourite acoustic guitar? (based on the neck shape)

sorry for my broken english.. :(

I seriously doubt there is...
Acoustic guitars generally have wider and thicker neck, the string action is usually higher and it's recommended to use higher string gauge.
I've never tried an acoustic guitar with an electric guitar feel, but of course that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist...

thx for your reply ivan..

yes agree that acoustic guitar need heavier string so they need to have a wider and thicker neck so they can be stronger.

but, is there any acoustic guitar that you've played and you had a "first time playing ebmm's neck" kind of feel..:).. like "wow, the neck is very fast and really great" or that kind of thing..

i heard sadowsky nilon acoustic electric guitar really feels like electric guitar neck.. but, i only read that (never played).. so far the most comfort electric guitar i've played is my yamaha junior (because it has small neck like electric guitar :D:D , it's a guitar for kids :D:D)

My Alveraz acoustic has a really thin neck. And it's not wide either. But I don't think I would compare it to a Music Man neck.

Taylor's necks are really nice...
More or less the same reaction when I first played an EBMM...

I had a Martin J40M once with a "low profile" neck, which was very nice, but in general acoustics are not designed with such slim fast necks as electrics.

My Alveraz model is an RD20S. It was pretty cheap for an acoustic, I just wanted a cheap one to play around campfires and stuff ( a "beater" acoustic more or less) I also have a takamine acoustic as well, which is a higher end guitar. I like the Alveraz neck more because it's really thin, I find the neck is thicker on the Takamine but it puts out a bigger sound than the Alveraz does.

Maybe if you were to buy a high end Alveraz you will have the playbility as well as the sound. Those are just my thoughts. :)

My Ovation Custom Legend neck feels similar to my Luke as far as the V profile and narrowness is concerned. Maybe one reason Luke endorses the Adamas model.

Also transitioning to my Martin D28 is as easy as it gets.

I'll chime in a bit. I have a Taylor 810CE and I looked for an acoustic for a long time before purchasing. The playability varies from Taylor to Taylor, although they would argue that. I don't think the lower models play and sound good enough for the money you spend. I would NEVER mail order a taylor. You need to play it first to see how that particular guitar is put together. Some just play terrible. The Baby Taylors are absolute garbage in my opinion. The 810 neck feels really nice, but still feels like an acoustic. I bought mine used and saved a TON of a new one. I would suggest doing that if you want a better guitar for cheaper.

Long story short, I actually don't like my Taylor very much. It has NO low end for heavy strumming, which is a frequent concern of Taylor users. I need a Martin, not that I play acoustic much these days.

@radrock and lock-ny
thank you very much for your tips , actually we don't have any taylor distributor here (or maybe i don't know) , but i will play it first if i'm interested to one of them..
i just heard my friend played a low end taylor last month on his concert.. but i don't find it so special.. i think his cole clark(he also played a cole clark) sounds better than the low end taylor..

wow... is it?? it's very interesting to have an acoustic guitar that has a neck similar to the luke(close is enough i think, don't have to be similar)..
i heard luke uses a 10's for his adamas , it's quite light for an electric guitar isn't it.. probably the string tension is also close with his ebmm?

get an EBMM with Piezo
hi david,
how are you?
sure , i hope my next ebmm is piezo equipped.. probably a silo/luke/morse.. their piezo are in the same quality isn't it?

thx andy,
i really like it's look (never played it) but it's hard to find J40M here, how about other types of martin?
btw do you know is there a name of that size of J40M? i like that size of acoustic guitar(smaller than the jumbo body)

thx

My Takamine has a very electric type neck on it. Not in the league of EBMM, but better than most acoustics I have played.
thx Tim,
what is the type of your takamine?
i heard takamine made a lot of nice quality of their asia made guitar type too, but i never had a change to play it.. just heard it from some friends

J40M is a jumbo body...OM size with dreadnaught thickness. I miss it dearly, it disappeared when my car was stolen by some nice people from Liverpool a town for which I have felt a violent hatred ever since.

The J40 was without doubt the best acoustic I have ever played....very hard to finsd and now they make them with a vertical Martin pearl headstock logo, which spoils the look for me.

I'll shut up now before someone points out this is not a Martin forum

Agrees! Had a Garth Brooks Tak that had the most unbelievable neck and action. The higher grade Taks are very underrated boxes.

actually i'd like to continue this martin discussion.. but maybe you right . this is not nartin forum..
i hope this discussion will not come into a non ebmm guitar related discussion , since everybody will talk about non ebmm guitar.. because there is no ebmm acoustic guitar..

why does ebmm never make any acoustic guitar?

just curious, is there anybody know what is Big Poppa's favourite acoustic guitar? or those ebmm designers favourite acoustic guitar?
