I'm very, very tempted to get a a Y2D. I just tested one and was blown away.
So, is it this from top to bottom?
1) ´12 SM-Y2D PDN Honey Roasted
2) ´12 SM-Y2D BFR "Darklord"
3) ´05 SM-Y2D Purple Sunset
4) ´06 SM-Y2D Tobacco Burst
5) ´09 SM-Y2D De-Purple Burst

Question, in general… how do you all feel about matching headstocks?
I see the family pic there is quite mixed.
On my axis it's matching and I like it.
The Y2D I'm looking at near by isn't matching.
It's great anyway, I'm wondering if it's worth the extra search, if I'd miss it over time. Ok quite subjective stuff.

to me it's depending on the color.
purple sunset or de-purpleburst on the headstocks is not my cup of tea.
on an axis, i prefer matching headstock in generall....don't know why, maybe due to no burst colors or so.....
and yes, solar flare would look cool with matching headstok, but it will be a rosewood headstock on the new solar flare.

Maybe it's having the possibility that makes it something to think about. I'm just realizing in other (non EBMM) guitars I have it's not matching and I never really had it in mind. Thanks for sharing your views. I'll try to keep an eye out for a solar flare w/rosewood thread ;-).

these will be quite rare.
rosewood necks could be ordered last novembre for every guitar....so i ordered my solar flare hardtail with rosewood neck.
on the axis and the y2ds rosewood tops were possible as well, but i went for the maple top.
