i love the way the wood looks around the pickup on the second picture,its like the humbucker is a knot in the wood.

Love it with the rosewood. It'd be perfect with an ebony fretboard though.

Come to think of it...fretless w/ebony fingerboard, mmmmmm...

Wow, I wish I could get my hands on one of those. I was just playing my rosewood this morning and was remarking to myself how much I love the sound of that bass and the top.

looks really boutique-ish, and I have to say that's really nice! but it looks like the body isn't "rounded" right? (sorry, I don't know the correct english word to say what I mean... hope you get it anyway) :)

Thats what they call body binding. You see it a lot on necks of guitars from other companies.A few other EBMM BFR's had that. Like the redwood stingrays.
Am I mistaken or does the 2nd one have an ebony fretboard?

Also about spalted maple. Isnt that just maple that got wet, then dried and got moldy? I like my maple fresh.
