That's some good stuff! But we DO need to sort out some form of worldwide distribution of EB goods at US-ish prices. We're really sufferin' out here! My used basses are costin' almost double what you pay for them new! No wonder noone's bothered about lack of warranty for "sneaking" basses out of the country. Not likely many EB repair issues will cost the same as a whole other bass at US prices!

Sorry... rant over :)

I expect we'll do purdy good in '06.

You know, I was thinking, it WOULD be good for me to try out a SR4 HH and maybe a SR5 HS or perhaps a Sterling.....hell, if I were the owner of the company, you know what I'd do? I'd just send me a couple on spec. Yeah, that's what I'd do.

*gazing off into the distance*

I bet you that's just what I'd do.

Jack, I'll be your body guard if you want to go check them out at GC this week. They know not to mess with me...

Jacks reasons for not staying current with our new products

1. The dog ate his homework.

2. He is under house arrest

3. He has been to the dentist

4. Promised his wife he would get his prostate checked before next trip to Guitar Center

5. He maxxed out his guitar center credit card and is on the wall as a deadbeat

6. He has fallen and can't get up

7. It's a two hour trip and Erika only bought the one hour depends.

8. He's been to the open house and played them through a processed korg unit.

9. He is afraid he will come back with a mullett and a smoking habit.

10. Big Poppa wont pick up the cab fare.

Okay, okay, I should have gone grocery shopping but I went to GC.

- Middle of the afternoon, not too many mullets making wankerish noises.
- Made salesperson ("Emile") go away after securing SR4 HH and cable.
- Called salesperson back when amp no makem heap big noise at all.
- Salesperson figures out problem while I play "Smoke on the Water" acoustically over and over in order to convince him not to stay.
- SR4 HH setup not bad at all.
- Roundwounds still very zingy.
- Jack astounds sales staff with perfect rendition of "Portrait of Tracy"
- Jack wakes up from dream, goes back to Deep Purple riff
- Jack confirms suspicions held since Open House (new bass good)
- salesperson wanders back and offers to make me a good deal and is confused when I say "Well, I might just make myself a good deal later."
- bought cheap CDRs on blowout at counter
- returned to Camp Bovine and now realize I STILL have no food and I'm hungry.

1. The dog ate his homework.

Problem: no dog. Cat only eats specific items, not to include homework.

2. He is under house arrest.

Problem: No one to arrest me.

3. He has been to the dentist.

True. Ever had a 'deep cleaning'? I still can't open my mouth very wide, which could be seen as an improvement by certain people.

4. Promised his wife he would get his prostate checked before next trip to Guitar Center.

Item: had that adventure two months ago. Prostate good. Exam not so good.

5. He maxxed out his guitar center credit card and is on the wall as a deadbeat.

Item: I think now they're onto me.

6. He has fallen and can't get up.

Item: have emergency alert necklace for the period during which Erika is in Peru.

7. It's a two hour trip and Erika only bought the one hour depends.

True. It's part of her control scheme.

8. He's been to the open house and played them through a processed korg unit.

True. Company CEO needs to invest in better units.

9. He is afraid he will come back with a mullett and a smoking habit.

Problem: can only grow afro and already smoke like a Russian spy.

10. Big Poppa wont pick up the cab fare.

True and is possibly related to item 8.

I really need to get at least one of these basses, Dargster, to have at home and fondle and love and investigate.

That is really the only way I can get inside it and have long, flowing, sensual descriptions of what it does.

Playing them at the factory and at a music store is really not good for me.

I'm being serious here. I have to spend time with a bass, stay up late and drink with it, see if Cowpilot likes it.

Why don't you make a really ugly one that no one wants and send it to me for a while? That blue Bongo 5 HS kind of had an adverse impact on my ability to buy a new bass, at least during the near future.

Hey, you know me. I'm ready to go convertin'!
