Hey Greg
Welcome! My eldest daughter is a big Jonas Brothers fan and a big Ernie Ball MusicMan fan. She'll be delighted to know some EBMMs were used in the creation of those albums!
Cheers

Congrats man! Had I not been too busy babysitting an over-refreshed friend of mine that night, I would've tried to catch that performance

Another reason I love this thread: Had this been any other internet forum, this thread would have been inundated with snide remarks. Here, everyone's happy you're representing EBMM. So awesome!

I agree! But i honestly don't understand the criticism. Working with these guys day in and day out - I've seen firsthand their true talent and love for music. I understand that perhaps the way they're marketed and / or their association with Disney may not exactly highlight this fact; but they write all of their songs and can play them live just as well. I'm hoping more and more people start to catch on to this as the new year unfolds. But yes, I too am happy to be representing EBMM - there is nothing I've tried that can match the sound. It's perfect for this gig.

Greg,

Most of the time criticism is really a cover up for "jealousy"!!

They're are great band, with a great outlook on life, too bad for the critics!

Also, if you ever have time, I think it would be interesting for you to tell us briefly a little bit about how you were hooked up with the guys, your input into writing/playing the songs, tour schedule, etc. . . all the little bits and pieces the public generally doesn't know.

Thanks and let me know when you are up in the Oakland/San Francisco area, we can do some serious "jammin"!!

Just got back from playing at an Inaugural Ball last night in Washington DC. Here's a video from it - we're performing a song I co-wrote with the Jonas Brothers called "Tonight." It was surreal to play for the First Lady and the President's daughters and see them get into it. It's honestly one of those moments when you look around and don't realize how you got there.

Next up, the Grammys on February 8th!

Greg, Love the bass. Ice blue is a real cool color. Congrats on the first family gig. You will get absolutely no flack from me about the Jonas Brothers. I have a 12 year old daughter who is a big fan. Its nice to find a group I don't have to say no to for my daughter. I think its great they (you included) write your own songs. Keep the faith and enjoy the ride!:D

Welcome Greg!

I must say that “burnin' up” is one of my guilty pleasures! I love the groove and the feel of the song. Did you play on that track? If so, I’d like to know how that tone was captured…

hey guys, just got back from Grammy rehearsals. I'll be using a 5-string stingray for this show and it sounds incredible. I rolled off about half the treble and got a nice blend of the pickups. Check it out if you can tomorrow on CBS.

As for the recording of Burnin' Up, the producer played moog bass for the track with some nasty distortions on it. For the live show, I use a POD with a similar setting to get the same effect with an actual bass guitar.

Hope you are all well!

Hey, choice bass dude! Did you say you were from the jonas brothers? Cool. Hey, I'm really sorry, but I didn't actually know the jonas bros had a bass player!! But that's okay. What's your favourite song/style?

Who likes the modulus basses? Flea plays them and I think they're awesome
