yes though i retired most of my ibbies, one of them is stll with me
cm_17: yes it is all a matter of opinion. It's good to remember that, but you have to remember the majority of folks here on the EBMM forum are going to choose EBMM over Ibanez...I mean it's the forum for EBMM after all.
So while it may seem like we're anti-Ibanez I don't think that's the case. It's more like we're over-exuberant fans of EBMM so we choose them over other guitar makers. I also don't recall anyone saying that Ibanez was *bad*, just that they prefer EBMM.
Whether Ibanez was purposely trying to emulate the look of Music Man or not, you can't deny the resemblance. You have to consider, though, the basic look of most guitars on the market is similar. You have a single-cutaway style, or double-cutaway style.
Lets be respectful of other makers here...its ok to like ours better...that sfine...but remember the world is better served with more choices. I banez is a good company and nice people there.....I really dot like to slag anyone....THey sell a ton more stuff than we do. I see some inspiration in all of those guitars from us....that means we are making progress......
...that means we are making progress......
They definitely look funny. I guess somebody ran out of ideas ...
They do look inspired by the ebmm jp but they'll never get close as long as ebmm has these sweet trems and necks!
+1! The JP neck and trem are second to none out there. Ibanez can keep their FR bridge and Wizard neck...
