well never say never :) I'm sure High Tech (French Distrib) already ordered some. When they will arrive they can tell you where the guitars are if you wanna try them. Bloody expensive but very helpful company

what is god of war?

does anyone hear a difference between the standard and bfr on youtube clips? especially when its petrucci playing live? i mean his rig changed with his guitars, so chances are anything we hear live will sound like JP. not you playing the JPX

this video was cool though..

I think Sterling should arrange a Guitar Center sessions with the 3 models and his mark V. and have him play the 3 of them... maybe the Guitar center in NY, (cause i want to be there hahhahaha)

This is an awesome picture. Original Dargies are great, but even better when being played by the man himself. And he is wearing white to boot.

Any more pics from where that one came from??

I'd love to have that original Dargie BFR. It think if you go under the Music Man Artist sub forum, there's a topic where all the pics are from JP and JM's visit.

I talked to JP today....He is on vacation this week with his family

He says the boogie video is a black bfr not a jpx

Still cool, I assume this is the Black Sparkle one? Out of curiosity, other than the color, did it have any changes that are now on the JPX?

If you notice in the thread where those pics came from, it's the original dargie martini inlays, but it has a painted neck and the BFR bottom horn. Could just be a one off for John.

IIRC, there were two... that one in those pictures and then he toured with a Dargie BFR that had JP shield inlays. But maybe the latter was actually a DD2 finish.

Yeah, I think the one with the JP inlays is a DD2. If you look up some videos of them playing In the Presence of Enemies from 2007, you can see the original in action.

Thanks for posting that. Nice to hear John talking about how all the new aspects came to be on the JPX. Love the insight!

You just can't ask for a better endorsement.

JP is such an asset, not only does he know the product inside and out from his involvement with its development, but he can articulate everything about it as well as the best pitch man.

I enjoyed his explanations of the larger frets and the 5-way toggle especially.. seems like he's well aware of this guitar's following and he's changing a few things up on this model so that the guitar buying public can enjoy some additional choices of MM JP as well.
