I'm extremely happy with both the number and the finish, there's not another guitar anywhere I would trade this for....

Unless #1 looks exactly the same, but also does your taxes for you...

JP15 Blueberry Burst #202

Well, while I was waffling on buying a gorgeous JP15 BB I saw at Sweetwater, someone else (deservedly) came along and swiped it from under me. So, I scoured the internet and found this instead which I pretty much had no choice but to purchase...

Erniie Ball Music JP15 Limited Edition (6)a.jpg

I can't believe it was still available and this is probably the only time procrastination has ever paid off for me!

So how do these play and sound compared to a regular JP6? On the fence if a should get a JP6 stealth charcoal or a JP15 Blue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, the neck is a little thinner than my JP6 and Majesty but not as thin as my JPXI or JPXII...
The Pre-Amp boost is great. In my opinion the JP15 Blueberry Burst seems to have a Snappier Tone probably due to the Roasted Maple Neck... It also seems to have a little less Sustain than my JP's and Majesty with the Ebony Fingerboards...
Hope this helps ..

less sustain concerns me. i hope that is guitar specific and not indicative of all. I would think African mahogany would produce better sustain than basswood.

How about feel of the guitar in your lap? Is the 15 as comfortable as the 6 or majesty? The majesty looks the most comfortable.

Thanks. Anyone else want to chimme ion on how their JP15 compares to other JP's they have or have had? Thanks

It's barely noticeable... It's definitely a brighter sounding Guitar, snappier tone. The JP15 BB is basically the same body shape as the JP6. Very comfortable. The Majesty is noticeably lighter.

How is everyone's guitar treating them? I'm still finding cool tonal settings between all the configurations! Love this things...

What do you like better? Which has the deeper low end for chugging? I would imagine the jp6 but curious to hear what you say. Which do you like better I for leads?

Hey Spartan , I sent you a private message also...
I actually prefer The 20" Neck Radius on my JPXI and JPXII's and the Sound of the Ebony Fingerboard for leads...They Definitely have a deeper low-end... The JP15 is great, it has it's own unique sound.. A little brighter because of the Roasted Maple Neck..

New to both the forums, Ernie Ball and JP Models. Started with the JP15 BB #32. Quick question to anyone else who has one. Did you have to have the neck adjusted when you got it? I allowed overnight for the box/case etc. to acclimate to the temperatures inside my house. Opened it up - TONS of buzz. Open strings and 1-8 frets etc. Assuming it's just a quick neck adjustment. But from all the other reviews I've seen online. Most did not have this issue.

Curious what other's thoughts are. I really hope #32 isn't a "lemon". Bought from Musiciansfriend (probably first mistake but these things are pretty much gone now!)

Normally I'd adjust the action myself, but with the $$ investment I'm going to likely take to a professional.

Do yourself a huge favor and learn how to set it up yourself... Its really not hard. What you are describing sounds like a simple loosening of the truss rod (the round gear by your neck pick up). Its there and accessible for a reason... fine tuning to your environment. Your climate at home is likely different than Musician Friend, and the wood changes so slightly. All normal and very unlikely a Lemon ;).

Search the forum and check out the FAQ's for set up, adjustments... its really a straight forward process and you kind of need to know it if you own a Musicman.

Congrats and good luck! Welcome ;)
