JP6 or Silo? help the indecisive one choose

For versatility I'd go for the JP, because you can get a really hardcore sound out of it if you need to, but with the p/u combo the clean sound alone is amazing, let alone with a piezo in that baby... It makes my friend cry at night to think he bought an Ibanez rg2550

I've been playing the JPM 6 and &7 for about a year now. I've toured with them and recorded with them. I have to say thay are the bizzomb.

I mainly play metal with Fozzy, but I do a lot of session work, blues, jazz, fusion and rock gigs in Atlanta as well. I find the JPMs to be quite comfortable to play and the tone is pretty versitile.

BTW, my main amp is a JSX if that helps you know where I'm coming from. Hope my two cents helps!

Here's my logic... Get the JP first. There are several reasons. The first, is that it's more expensive. Get over the hump, get the bigger dollar guitar. If you still want a Silo, you can always score a used one or even load up on a new one and the price tag won't be as stiff. That's just me.

However, as far as humbucker guitars go, there might not be a more beautiful looking, sounding and playing guitar in the biz. Plus, it's very versatile. The Pet can get type-cast as a metal players guitar and that's unfair. It can do anything short of a strict SRV copy.

The JP trem can only be found on one guitar. It's as good as it gets. Plus Piezo. Many, many tones in there.
