Hi, all
I have a JP6 with piezo, it has been my main guitar for 4years. Recently, I have noticed a problem in the piezo-magnet mix mode (the middle position of the selector on top). The A string has faded volume compared to other strings when both the magnet volume and piezo volume is at max. As the volume pot of magnet pick-ups turns down, the volume of A string came back as only the piezo sound is available. It also works fine for magnet pick-up when piezo volume is down. To make it short, with certain amount of mix (piezo+magnet), the volume for A string become significantly weaker than other strings.
Some details of previous problems with the guitar solved or unsolved, there may be hints that can solve my problem.
1. A few months ago,the small metal piece on bridge piece on my A string (the point where the string is held by the bridge) dropped off during the string change and I glued it back in place (as told by a technician). The piezo works fine after that in the piezo mode, but I did not pay attention to the piezo-magnet mix mode (middle position).
2. The volume pot generate noise (sounds like unplug without turn down the amp volume) just before it is turned to max, so it is no longer possible to do a smooth volume swell. I haven't fixed it yet, probably due to aging of the pot...
I guess it is the volume pot problem that makes my A string dumb...cuz both magnet and piezo works fine independantly... Hope anybody can point out the problem so I can fix it. Thanks~
