Haha cheers guys.
After spending the past 3 days with the JPX permanently glued to my hands I can safely say it is absolutely phenomenal. The playability of the thing is amazing and the versatility is insane. The pickups are fantastic and - clean sounds are the best i've heard on a guitar - and it is of course capable of brilliant rock and screaming heavy metal tones perfect for the likes of Dimebag, Hammett and naturally Petrucci. The Piezo, something I wasn't too fussed about having has also blown me away and think I will have much more use for it than I anticipated. I part exchanged my Ibanez JS1200 for this and am so happy at this decision. Not that the JS is bad, I just personally didn't love playing it the way I love my JPX. The neck just feels so right in my hand, i'm nailing solos and licks I previously couldn't.

In short:- UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE axe :D

Hey man, it's awesome. Got my JPX from Knighton in Powys, Wales. As part exchange for JPX they offered £1000 for my JS1200 (very fair IMHO) but this was a deal for part-ex. Think thy said they would offer less than £700 if not part of a deal. Hope this helps,
Joe

Hello.

I've got the same dilemma :) JPX7 or JP7 BFR.
But I've got a question. Does anyone know why JPX model costs considerably less than standard BFR ? About 500$
