Ivan, please try to find a good teacher! It seems that you have some talent and basic skills, but need someone with lots of experience to guide you around the intial obstacles. Someone who can observe you and hear you for real and not just make suggestions over the internet. If you have blisters on your fingertips, that hurts, but you can go on. If you have other pains in your hand, you can seriously hurt yourself by going on.

Still, if you're looking for good playing advice on the web, check out the videos be Dave Marks, who is a phenomenal player, a good teacher and a fellow UK knucklehead. Especially check out this video:

thanks. i will consider that strongly. jammed with my friend today. it's been months since i play with him and it was really hard to match y rumble 15 with his line 6. have to a break though because lately my index finger has been hurting from finger plucking.

thanks alot. when i play alot of note son the A string i do rest my thumb on the E but if i'm playing the E and then gonna hit one or two notes on the A then i just rest on the pickup. i wish i had a good teacher but i dont know if i can find one.
