I just bought a used Ernie Ball Stingray from a local music store here in Vancouver and it rocks. The guitar has been customized, the pick guard has been removed and it has been repainted. I am curious as to what year it may be. The serial number is E11207 if you have any ideas please let me know. Whoever owned this bass previously took great pride in in as it is set up beautifully and sounds awesome. It is an amazing instrument.... Love it.

Cheers,
Jessica

Jessica, welcome to the forum. Standby for the young bucks (and not-so-young bucks) to come along and befriend you. But first, I should inform you that, in Forum terms, you have not officially bought a Stingray until we see a photo (of the bass; photo of you optional).

E11207 places your bass around Dec 1999/Jan 2000. The only way to know for sure is to unbolt the neck (maybe next time you change strings) and check the date stamps on the neck and in the neck pocket.

Wilkum Pilgrimme !!

If you don't want to unbolt it, send a PM to Beth at EB axworks in SLO. She has all the dealer sales and ordering records, with specifics on every instrument.

For Jessica's ax? From a shop in Vancouver? According to the Mighty Dub-yah, Vancouver is in semi-terrorist territory, meaning you are not permitted to ship stuff there anyway.

Your bass was built on 12/10/99 Started life out as a trans red with black pickguard.

Good call Mark!

Hi Jessica and Welcome.

Don't worry, there are less insane members hanging around here.

Pics would be great when you can get to it.
