Hello all. Thought I'd join the forum since purchasing a new Stingray 4 earlier this evening. :)

Like most newbies I have a question or two. The store tag that was on the bass reads Music Man Classic Deluxe 4-String Ball Family Reserve w/ 56 blue finish. I did not notice this until I got it home. Could it really be what this tag says or was there some confusion in the store? When I went to the Music Man website I only found current models, and from researching the serial number, this bass is a 2010 model. It is a very light blue/green with white pickguard and pup, with a birdseye maple neck/fretboard.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Regards,
DG

56 should be trans blue and is a translucent darker blue. It sounds almost like you have a power blue (94 color code) which was available in 2010.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Here is a picture of it. Maybe this can help identify what color/model it really is.

Even tho the color means the tag is from another bass,
that one actually IS a classic, as per the mutes and the
figured neck ... and the white PU cover :)

What a beauty!!! - congrats, and welcome to the fold... Looks like a Classic, but not a BFR, IMO...
