Just tried playing my '76 strat for the first time in over a year. Lasted all of 3 minutes. It's got EmG's in it, but was really uncomfortable to grip.
Back in the closet she goes.![]()

The facination with Strats for me has always been the tone on the single coil neck pickup thru an old tube bassman amp ala SRV. Nothing sounds like that (I haven't tried any of the single coil EBMM guitars yet, but I'm thinking about it.![]()

Might have to take mine out today, now dat I think of it.
PeteDuBaldo said:I've been trying to get my cousin's band more into EBMM stuff, the bassist now plays a StingRay 5, but the guitarists use Fens and Gibbys - the excuse they give me is that they don't have the coin to drop on an EB. I can't fault them for that, but it's tough playing a Strat onstage when I guest guitar with them - not my style axe at all!![]()
