Hey Guys,

Just shy of one year ago, tunaman4u2 started a thread on the bass side of the forum. They are posting pictures of their favorite basses; the ones they plan on keeping forever. I was just about to post a guitar pic, but then I decided to start a thread just like it over here. So, with a tip of my hat to my Boston neighbor, I open this thread giving all credit for the idea to the big kahuna tuna. :D

Here's a pic of a keepers for life trio:

* The Dark Lord Morse is a keeper for two reasons: The reverse headstock, as I am a die hard 80's hair band rocker; and, the big 'ole beefy neck profile. Don't forget the BFR logo. She's stock except for the pearl tuner buttons.

* Oinky speaks for herself. She was 1 of 50 pink Axii made in 2009 with black backs. They were a special run sent to an Asian distributor for sales in that neck of the woods. I added the pink video game button kill switch. Her top is a leopard-like quilt.

* Black Sugar Roasted Maple Axis. Ebony fretboard with the Ball Family Reserve crest. This one has a Floyd Upgrades tremolo and all black hardware. The tuner buttons are real black mother of pearl.

Please feel free to post your keepers for life...however, we reserve the right to razz you if they ever show up on the for sale thread!

Wow ... for life, that's a tall order. The only one I think I'll never sell is the 25th my wife bought me for our wedding:

Hi Joe, You are correct - they said there were none...but there was one! I got it at the Guitar Center Platinum website.

Just a standard Black Cherry Burst Axis, with a D-Tuna and a huge brass block.
Coming up for 2 years as my number 1. Been across southern Alberta and BC, never let me down. Though the incoming Neptune Blue Y2D might be my new desert island guitar.
