I wish I could say I had a keeper for life, but guitars I swore I would never sell, I've sold. Some I regret, and some I don't.

Ive had about 20+ guitars in the past 10 years. Only 2 are real keepers. My musicman stingray 2 i just got. Im so impressed with this i just know its a keeper. And my esp hybrid custom shop. On the bass side ive got a classic sr4. That will never ever be sold.

Absent an apocalypse, I would not part with any of them. It would be like choosing which children to part with (sparing the melodrama), I just can't image having to decide which is least worthy of adulation. It is nothing overly sentimental, I love them all, and apart from my 25th, I play them all, depending on my mood. Some are into the buying and selling of guitars, but I seem only to be interested in the former, as a past time. In the case of a fire, I'd let them all burn and start again.

Keeper for life!

my guitar 1.jpg

I can't express in words how much this guitar means to me and how it makes me feel to own this.(maybe I just did...) Now to spend the rest of my life acquiring the skills to justify owning it.

That guitar picked the most appropriate thread to make its entrance in. Simply gorgeous!

Thanks guys! I still can't believe I own it! This forum is great by the way. I have learned so much in such a short time about the EBMM community. I'm glad to be a part of it for sure.

Benji, I would like to see your JP7 Koa BFR. is it on here?

^^^^^That simple White Reflex HT in my avatar isn't going anywhere EVER. It is my first EBMM (not last though hehehe..already figuring what I can sell to buy another used one) and it is THE best instrument I've ever played. Simply incredible. Proud and thankful to own it. :D

So by way on update, my Red Axis HT had it treatments - Fret Dress, correct block saddles installed, new volume pot & knob and a new bone nut (the old one broke during the service).

Needless to say, its even better than before and a keeper for two lifetimes!

While it is new, this guitar has the rest of my fleet collecting dust (which includes a fantastic Axis tribute)

I will die still owning my beloved Axis SS. I've played it so much that it needs new frets and a new nut. It's seen a few dozen guitars come and go, but has always remained my number 1. It has several battle scars and is well broken in, because it's way too good of an instrument to not get played. Simply put, the very best guitar that I have ever picked up. And the thing is, my super smokin' hot wife bought it as a birthday present and I had never even seen it before. How awesome is that? Lol.

My 1996 Trans Gold Axis is a keeper for life. Funny thing is it's the only color I didn't want when I was looking for an Axis in 1996. Almost 20 years later it's still my #1.

I really can't see ever getting rid of my 20th Anniversary Silhouette. IMO it's a perfect guitar, sounds great, looks great, easy to play, never goes out of tune.... I still think it's the best EBMM guitar I have ever played.

I can't imagine ever selling my blue Axis. I'd wanted that exact guitar for so long when I bought it, that I'm frightened by the thought of letting it go.
