My Experience - Happy Ending

First tried Thursday through Sunday via website, but couldn't get the Ernie Ball rate.

Made the reservation via website for Friday through Sunday - no problem.

Called hotel directly to add Thursday and was transferred to "central reservations" - was told there was no way they could add the day based upon the rate/room choice and that a back-to-back reservation (i.e. one night stay followed by a two night stay) was not supported. Not one to panic, I thanked her for her time and called back the hotel directly.

Called hotel and asked for an on-site manager. Spoke with Amy who confirmed the group rate was available and extended my reservation on the spot.

Thought I'd share in case any other Thursday arrivals have a similar experience.

We called and made reservations right before the link was posted. It was interesting, and I'll share it because Beth may want to make a phone call. We successfully reserved from Sept 26-30, and they gave us Wed night at $139. When the confirmation email came, it was listed as $139 for all nights, but there was a note in a comment field that said it was 'approved for group rate @ $109 for Sept 27-30'. The free night didn't show up at all in the note or confirmation 'bill'. What's interesting is that when we asked about it (and here's were Beth might want to check into things), they said that the $109 rates were all feeding back to the 'master' account - meaning that Poppa was paying for all the $109 nights. It could have been a mixup, but you might want to check it out...

BP is generous...but I don't want to see him get shafted.
