we should all meet somewhere, what do you suggest?

Well, I guess we could meet at the lobby of the hotel. Lots of times, there are complimentary food and drink in the afternoon. If there is such a thing, we might meet there (those of us who are early enough to be there at that time). Then, we can go to Old Town LaQuinta, which is just across the street from the hotel. The hotel website pointed to this URL for Old Town LaQuinta: http://www.oldtownlaquinta.com/shops.php

If it's easy enough to transport everyone, well, maybe we can go to some place farther. I know I'll be up for a martini, a steak, etc. Heck, I eat most anything.

This could be a starting point for finding something to eat/drink. http://national.citysearch.com/search?searchOpt=cs&y=0&x=0&cslink=cs_topbar_search&query=restaurants&context=generic

It would be great to get a recommendation from someone who knows the area, though.

Hope Simon makes a full recovery soon. No doubt Lucious and Co. will be doing everything to keep his spirits high.

Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery from across the big pond.
