Will the gold hardware kill this for a lefty? I'm putting together my Christmas wish list and need to know should treat myself big or save a little for the next year.

IMHO gold can look really good in the right context, but in my experience it wears relatively quickly, leaving you with the underlying chrome showing through in places like the edges of knobs. That too can be a cool look if you're into it.
I don't know if that's just the gold-hardwared instrument I've owned, or if it's inherent in the process (I think it's inherent...I used to work at Tiffany's in NYC, and it was well known that the vermeil flatware [vermeil = gold-plated silver] showed wear very quickly).
BP and crew have shown us over and over that they've got good taste. I'm sure this will be a great looking package!
I too am a bigger fan of chrome than gold, but it just may set off this brown in a cool manner. I will reserve judgement until the final product is displayed. I am sure if it did not look good, it would not find it's way to the LE product.
