I would bet money though that it'll just be the green.

Dibs. I asked first, 20 posts ago:

I think you're right, though. For some inexplicable reason the knucklehead population wants green. How this is possible given the incredible beauty of that blue burst is beyond me, but there it is.

I've coughed up nasty stuff that was just about the same color as Logan Green. :p

It looks much metter with the ice pg. How about slappin a tort and maybe something really crazy like abalone and post pics. Maybe if we find just the right combo we will offer a very limited number of "Dargie Delight" logan green basses to shut you green obsessed punters. It will say Dargie Delight on either the headstock or neckplate.

If you cant have a little fun why play?

I may even give a slice of the sales to CLB

That is too cool to believe!!!!! Dargie should sign all of the basses on the inside before they go out. That will make it that much more personal.

Keep thinking green, boys.

That blue dawn is beautiful but let's concentrate on what we ARE getting.

Obviously, I have no idea what the pricing will be or any details other than what you already know from reading here. I did have a conversation with BP and Dargin late last night, but at least two of us were drunk and the other was witnessing a stabbing next door or something equally weird.

Errrr, not 'drunk', but 'happy'.

If and when I get some details, you'll have them ASAP.

Yep. I think the blueburst is hot, too. But, don't forget how this came about. It was about the green Bongo. How many times have we asked for a Forum bass and been shot down? I wouldn't hold my breath for "no pickguard" or a new greenburst, or anything like that. Soon it turns into "rosewood necks," "mahogany bodied Bongos," "six string basses" and ends with "Why'd I bother suggesting this to the knuckleheads?"

Personally, I'll be happy with the current option on the "Oh, what the hell" planning table.

While we all have ideas I'm with you on this one. Lots of things I'd like to see but I'm happy with what has come out. So +1!

I totally agree.

Instead of putting "pipe dreams" out there, let's let BP and Dargin tell us what will be available.

All this carrying on and asking for much more than was originally offered might just queer the whole deal for everyone.

Let's all be grown ups here and learn from our past mistakes.

As I understand, the deal was for a Martini Green Bongo just like Dargin's (aka Scott).

I said "at least two of us".

I couldn't tell with Dargin because I think he was wrapped up with the crime scene.

Whaaaaaa!!!!! <*stamps feet and sulks like our band manager, who is a 5-year-old girl*>

'kay, I really, truly do understand why rosewood necks and other substantial tasty bits and pieces aren't available....pieces of rosewood that big are as rare as....well, as blue burst Bongos.

But an alternate finish is PAINT. Not only that, but it's paint that's already been used. No need to even formulate something new! All this brouhaha is over a paint job.

With all due respect, BP, yes, we do have lots of choices, and endless thanks for that...but there are many finishes that you CAN'T get a Bongo in. None of the bursts, for example. None of the trans (obviously). I'm pleased as punch to own what I think is one of the best colors, DG. I'd not seen an alternative I liked as much until that blue burst showed up.

Listen, if you do the Blue Burst Bongo I'll not only buy one, paid in full up front, I'll make a donation to the CLB foundation of 20% of the price. I'd do more if I could afford it.

I'M NOT KIDDING.
