I think that Ernie Ball Music Man is going to introduce something for the guitar player at the upcoming National Association of Musical Merchants (NAMM) show in Los Angles this January. I know it is not the 20th anniv Silo that I have cried about incessantly. So what could it possibly be. Are the Sparkle colors coming back ? Quilt top Morse’s? Exotic Woods?
Oooooh! How about the guitar equivalent to the Bongo? With it’s own body design by the BMW design team and active pups. I do recall that Dave Larue busted out the Bongo at the 2002 Dregs show before it (the Bongo) was announced. Maybe Steve Morse will do the same thing for a new guitar from EBMM.

Tell me what you know. Tell me what you think. If you don’t know or think anything then make something up. The only rule is there are no rules. If anyone with official knowledge thought to chime in then I would appreciate and welcome those comments as well.

Maybe an Axis double neck. OLP started making the double neck version, like the few that was made for EVH back in the day.....

I think the brief liason between Ernie Ball and Mr. Gene suggests an EBMM set neck guitar - maybe similar to an Axis or Silhouette Special but with a set neck? Or maybe something completely different... but that's my guess...

(Ms Peacock, in the Library, with the rope...) :D

You've seen the OLP doublenecks on ebay, right? I have it on pretty good authority they're going to introduce an Axis 12 string.

1. Maybe they (EBMM) got tired of all our bit**ing about the sparkle finishes being gone and decided to take all the colors away.....now, they all come in black only........ ;)

2. Maybe they (EBMM) will acknowledge that the stress cracks are really places they hide homing beacons in peeps guitars so big brother can see what they are doing. ;)

3. They (EBMM) will finally announce that the user "ernie1966" is really the one and only John Petrucci and will give us all free JP-6 w/piezo in their new and only color.....black. ;)

4. ok ok.....just playin'. Personally, the Bongo idea is cool, but I like the set neck Axis better..... just me.

5. Maybe, just maybe....a Custom Shop w/sparkle finishes..... ;)

(Koog runs to hide with Warg....as we laugh at jongitarz lookin' for us...hehehehe) :D

I am just looking forward to my new JP-6 in December. At least it won't be black....I got mine before the "rumor ban" on all the other colors! :D

BTW....EVH and Sammy hate each other again and Sammy has signed with EBMM to produce the EBMM "Ego Deflator Super Sport".......at which point Eddie will say was his design and will want to "personally stripe them" to sell for an ungodly amount of money...hehehehhehe,........sorry DWF.....hope I didn't hit a sore spot! ;)

6. Oh Yeah....best rumor yet...."Welcome to the addiction" is finally added on as the new EBMM motto and Koog becomes a millionaire! Paid in nickels!

Britney Spears signature model. The body is finished with a photo of a naked Britney, and the pickups just happen to be "strategically placed."

koogs, I'm cool...no sore spots.

Keith, that model was axed, so to speak...though I still have the graphic to laugh at every now and then!

Per respect to the issue, I will not post it publicly. End of story. :)

speculation

I have to agree that a Bongo guitar would be a great addition. It's the most original shape that I've seen in years.

Maybe they've convinced Vai to leave Ibanez, and they will announce a new signature guitar for Vai?

Announcement that the Supreme Being plays and will endorse EBMM guitars?

EB supports world tour for Jardineros de Muerte album, "fix yer own damn guitar".

Darrell,

Well, I'm glad I gave you a laugh in return! No need to keep score, as long as we're all laughing, that's all that matters! :D
