I thought you mentioned a few threads back you might be thinning the herd and possibly selling your Morse to replace with a new one.

True. thinking of downsizing. Truth be told, you could take 'em all away except the Lukes and I'd still be a happy guitar player.

Wow, Kevin! What airline are you flying? My tix were around $500 each, and I had to get 2 of 'em!

My trip is more like:

2 tix to SLO: $1005
2 nights in a slightly higher-end hotel: $320

Chance to meet Big Poppa, Jongitarz, Beth (who we are told 'rocks'), Dargin, Derek, and eat on Sterling's dime... PRICELESS!

Hell, I would have come just to hang with you EBMM folks and check out the factory (and pick up my beta wah pedal :p). The artists are just the icing on the already delicious cake...

My only regret is that I'd like to bring my JP6 and have Jon set it up for .009's.. but alas, I don't want to run the risk of having to check it.. plus I'm changing planes in Phoenix, so there's another chance for it to get lost/abused.

Carry it on. When flying commercial, Steve (Morse) does.

Believe me it is painful having to pass that up, it is even more painful seeing all those great guitarists there and the opportunity to meet them.

Right now - no can do- my wife would have my nads in a jar beside the night table if I bought the plane ticket and booked the hotel room.

Want me to talk to her for you? ;-)

All of you guys with the resistance wives - bring 'em with you if that's all that's stopping you.

I had originally planned to make the trip alone. Fly into SLO, attend the event, fly home. Then someone (Blair) posted the schedule of events and I mentioned the Hearst Castle tour to my wife. Now our plans are to fly into San Juan, get a convertable and drive through Monterrey/Carmel and continue on down hwy. 1 to where we meet up with kbaim and his wife in San Simeon. Friday we might take the Hearst Castle garden tour before making our way to SLO via some wineries. After that, it's EBMM Open House Weekend all the way.

Don't fight 'em, let 'em join you! BP's taking good care of all of us.
