hold the razor blade perpendicular to the fret board and use a scraping motion - - not a carving motion. could then polish up with some oooo grade wire wool. You need to remove all the strings so I would ask for a set in the circumstances?

I wouldn't add more lemon oil. The razor is a good way to go. It'll do a great job. Just go slowly and carefully. Any tiny scratches you won't even notice after a little finger grease build up and if you ever clean your fretboard with steel wool, you'll probably remove any last traces. It's all good.

Thank you!
Would it be wrong to use the lemon oil? I asked CS and they said the lemon oil is fine and won't damage the fretboard wood/finish.
That said, I will order some of the Gunstock Oil and Wax that MM uses so I can use that.

To be honest with you guys, at first this little spot bothered me a bit (I'm nit-picky like that), but now I have to say it does not really bother me anymore. The guitar plays and sounds and looks great, and a little light spot on the fretboard won't change anything about that. It's all good, I love this guitar!
