And you know, if he comes back again someday, I'll be equally thrilled!

See, this is what you do when you're broke but still have basses.

ok, I've lost the plot here.
What has happened with the OP's bass?!

Still available?
Traded for Heinz?
Heinz sold and on a slow boat to Europe to buy Bassmonkee's bass?
Bassmonkee's DD disappeaed into the night?!
Bassmonkee's house fell over on his DD...

Something else?!

...help?

Here is what I think happened.

Jason decided he wasn't bonding properly with his single H DD Bongo 5, which of course is just about my favorite bass on earth. He will sell it, he says, but is also going to entertain trades for baubles and shiny beads and maybe some magic beans and so on.

I think about this a bit, I have a little cash that I'd overlooked and the only bass I don't play regularly is...Heinz. (Blame the 20th SR5.) I say, hey, if I sell Heinz, I could swing your price....and he says, wait, hold on, maybe I need to reconsider, no, wait, you're right, are you sure, let me think, okay, I'm definitely sure that I maybe want to at least consider this and.....

Meanwhile, my guitarist, Chris, says he will buy Heinz. I think this is excellent because, well, he's in my band and it's not like I don't see him occasionally and of course he's had a lot of experience with Heinz and knows what the bass can do. Meanwhile, Magnus (strummer) is making odd noises in a foreign language, he wants Heinz, too, because that's what Magnus does, he collects basses I've owned.

So 30 minutes after Chris pays me for the bass, they decided it would be better if Magnus had Heinz after all, and they make some sort of deal which involved stinky fishy Swedish food or something and I'm told to NOT send the bass to Chris but just to keep it until 2010, I think, something like that.

The main thing is that I don't actually have to DO anything right away, which really works on so many levels for me.

As nearly as I can tell, no basses will be going anywhere in the near future because I'm going to MS for a couple of weeks so Jason is holding the Dargie until I get back. Heinz may go with Jason to Europe, which is where Magnus lives (unless he's making all this up) so he might have me ship Heinz to him in Georgia in order to hand-carry the thing to Oslo or Estonia or some other imaginary place across the ocean.

End result: Jason gets no new bass. Chris gets no new bass. markbass99 gets no new bass (that was another part of the deal I've simply left out in order to simplify things). Chris may get a guitar from Rex (silverburst), however, although that's entirely separate. Magnus owns Heinz and may get him later in the summer or maybe early 2010, not sure yet. I get the Dargie Bongo H fiver in a few weeks.

I hope that clears things up.
